DESCRIPTION
Woodmate's semi \transparent protective coating brings out the authentic character of vertical wood surfaces, such as
sidings and fences, while providing exceptional protection and longevity. This coating offers an exclusive polymer \based
hybrid formula.
CHARACTERISTICS TECHNICAL INFORMATION

against sun rays

USE LIMITATIONS
Well prepared vertical & horizontal exterior wood structures
and components such as:
\ Doors & windows
\ Wood sidings
\ Fences
It can be applied on all types of wood, except roasted wood.
- Clear Woodmate cannot be applied directly on
wood. Minimum of 1 ounce of colorant / 3.71L
- Do not apply if temperature is below 10°C or higher
than 30°C
- Do not apply under direct sunlight
- Do not apply on unprepared surfaces
- Does not adhere to waterproof stains
- Do not apply if humidity level is superior to 20%
An adequate surface preparation is the key to success for all exterior wood staining projects.
Wash surface to be stained with a solution of degreaser (TSP), one litre of bleach and three litres of water. Apply on wood, let
it soak for 20 minutes, scrub with a brush, and then rinse. Let dry 48 hours. Repair surface as needed and cover nails with
putty or filler. Sand wood with #60 or #80 sandpaper. The surface must be dry and clean, without oil, blisters, grease, soap,
rust, wax or dust. Should a cleaning with a pressure washer be required, it must be done prior to sanding.
Painted or stained wood
In order to maximise the durability of the product and to obtain a semi \transparent effect, it is imperative to bring the wood
back to its original condition by sanding or by stripping it, using the appropriate products.
Apply at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C. Do not apply when surface is exposed to direct sunlight. The wood must not
surpass a 20% humidity level. Wait 8 hours after a mild rainfall and 24 hours after a heavy rainfall. Use a bristle brush.
Generously apply the coating using a back and forth movement along the fibers of the wood. Only apply on the width of 2 \3
wood planks, afterwards apply on length of planks in order to avoid demarcation. For a maximum protection, make sure to
apply product on all 6 facades of the wood. Stir the product during application in order to keep the mixture homogeneous.
For a spray application, dilute with a maximum of 10% water. There should not be rain for the following 48 hours in order to
ensure a good performance of the stain.
WARRANTY CAUTION
This product will give full satisfaction if applied according to the
manufacturer's instructions. Manufacturer's liability is limited to
the replacement of the product and does not include manpower
if found defective upon inspection.
